Oulu police are investigating four recent assaults in which a cyclist stabbed foreign-born individuals, with the suspect still at large, Yle reports.

Three of the attacks were stabbings, including one on Friday in the Kaukovainio district where a foreign-born man was stabbed in the back. Authorities have released surveillance images and asked the public to help identify the suspect.

Police have not ruled out the possibility of a serial attacker. One man was previously detained in connection with a stabbing but was released after a district court found insufficient grounds for remand.

In addition to the stabbings, four Finns without foreign backgrounds were pushed by a cyclist this spring. That suspect, described as having mental health issues, was quickly apprehended.

The incidents have occurred south of Oulu city centre. Police said they would provide further details at a press briefing Monday afternoon.
