How to safely remove a tick
Fragments of a tick’s mouthparts left in the skin are harmless and do not need to be removed, according to researcher Anna Omazic of the Swedish National Veterinary Institute, cited by SVT Nyheter.
Omazic advises that the best method is to grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible with tweezers and pull it straight out.
