Driver killed in Kuusamo road accident

Oulu police report a fatal road accident late Saturday night on Kemijärventie in Kuusamo.

A car left the road on its right side while travelling in its direction of travel. The sole occupant, the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle sustained severe damage.

Police are investigating the incident as a traffic safety violation and to determine the cause of death.
