DSB to take over rail services from GoCollective
Danish state rail operator DSB will assume control of GoCollective’s rail services from 1 September, the Ministry of Housing, Urban and Transport Affairs announced.
GoCollective informed the ministry it cannot cover expenses of approximately DKK 100 million due on 29 June, risking bankruptcy and a complete halt to train operations in Midt- and Vestjylland, as well as on the Svendborg line.
The ministry has conditionally agreed with GoCollective to terminate its contract for those routes effective 1 September 2026, ensuring a coordinated handover to DSB. GoCollective will continue operations in July and August to facilitate the transition.
