Oslo’s Tons of Rock festival faced water supply issues on its second day, as temperatures in the capital reached up to 29°C, Dagbladet reports.
Attendees reported little to no water pressure at drinking stations across the festival site on Ekebergsletta, with long queues forming for minimal flow. One festivalgoer described a line of around 100 metres for a station delivering barely any water.
In response, organisers distributed bottled water and stated that additional stations were available. “Several water stations are spread around, and we’re also handing out bottled water. High demand has lowered pressure in the taps, so extra bottled water is being distributed at the medical tent,” press contact Lars Tefre Baade told TV 2.
The water troubles follow a power outage on the festival’s first day, which disrupted performances for several minutes. Three headlining acts—Tom Morello, Yungblud, and W.A.S.P.—have also pulled out of the event.
