Copenhagen Airport, drones, police

Copenhagen Police said Thursday they could not confirm or rule out the presence of drones over Copenhagen Airport on 22 September 2025, following reports that led to a four-hour shutdown of air traffic.

At a press briefing, Chief Police Inspector Søren Thomassen stated that authorities had been unable to verify drone activity in or around the airport.

“Overall, our conclusion today is that we cannot prove there was drone activity,” Thomassen said. “At the same time, we cannot rule it out.”

He acknowledged unexplained aerial activity near the airport but provided no further details.
