Three suspects held over Mynämäki homicide
Police have requested the detention of three people in connection with the suspected murder of a 28-year-old woman in Mynämäki, southwest Finland, Yle reports.
The victim had gone to spend the evening at a friend’s house on Vanharaveantie on Thursday, June 18. She was found dead near the disappearance site after a search involving dogs and drones that began on Midsummer Eve.
Those facing detention are a 35-year-old man, a 64-year-old man, and a 31-year-old woman. The 64-year-old man and the victim are related, according to Yle. The 35-year-old man has a prior criminal record.
Police have cordoned off part of Vanharaveantie leading to a detached house under investigation. Authorities are treating the death as a homicide.
