Man charged after car hit house, killing woman

A 20-year-old man has been charged after driving into a house in Tilst at 109 km/h, killing a 64-year-old woman inside, Danish broadcaster DR reports.

The incident occurred around 23:45 on June 23 on the residential street Hindøvænget, where police describe the driving as reckless. The speed limit was exceeded by over 100 percent, according to the charge sheet obtained by DR.

The man was arrested 10 minutes after the crash and charged with negligent homicide under aggravating circumstances. He pleaded not guilty during a custody hearing and was remanded for two weeks.
