Witch urges end to bonfire effigies at Midsummer

A Danish witch has called for an end to the tradition of burning witch effigies during Sankt Hans (Midsummer) celebrations, advocating instead for a focus on nature and ritual.

Ritte Freja Toft Møller, who practices tarot, crystal gazing, herbalism, and spellwork, told DR that the witch is not a figure of fear and that the custom of burning effigies may have outlived its time.
