Norway secured its place in the World Cup round of 16 with a 3–2 victory over Senegal, powered by two more goals from Erling Haaland, reports SVT.

“He was very, very good today,” Norway manager Ståle Solbakken said after the match.

In other World Cup action, France defeated Iraq 3–0 in a match halted by a thunderstorm in Philadelphia. Kylian Mbappé, 27, scored his 15th and 16th career World Cup goals.

“I’ve always scored in the World Cup, so it’s nothing that worries me,” Mbappé told RMC after the win.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump confirmed Monday evening that the Strait of Hormuz remains “completely open,” echoing a statement by JD Vance.
