Fire crews have brought a residential fire in Oslo’s Mortensrud district under control, police reported Sunday afternoon.

The blaze, first reported just after midday, involved a fully developed fire on the ground floor and heavy smoke on the upper level. Authorities initially warned of possible explosion risk, potentially linked to barbecuing at the property, and ordered nearby residents to close windows and turn off air conditioning due to smoke.

All occupants self-evacuated and were checked by paramedics; no injuries were reported. By 13:27, fire services confirmed the spread risk had been significantly reduced.
