Vaasa Midsummer violence investigated as homicide

Police in the Ostrobothnia region are investigating a violent incident in Vaasa as a homicide, commissioner Tomi Mansikkamäki confirmed.

The incident occurred on Friday around 10:30 AM at Asemakatu 37 in central Vaasa, following a report of a crime against life and health. Authorities have not released further details for investigative reasons.

Police requested public tips and observations related to the case but later announced they no longer needed additional information, thanking those who had already come forward. Mansikkamäki stated that further updates would be provided after Midsummer.
