Vantaa building’s balconies closed after fatal fall
The balconies of a residential building in Vantaa’s Tikkurila district have been closed to use as a precaution after a man died in a fall, reports Yle.
A man in his 30s fell from the fifth floor through a glass balustrade to the ground on Midsummer Eve. Police are investigating the incident and do not initially suspect foul play.
Eeva Salmenpohja, director of responsibility and communications at Lähitapiola, which owns the property, said all balconies in the building have been closed temporarily as a safety measure.
