More Tórshavn buildings to get solar panels

Tórshavn municipality will install solar panels on eight of its buildings this year, the Faroese public broadcaster KVF reports.

The local council approved a 5.2 million krona budget for the project last year. Three existing solar sites—Sólareyga daycare, Velbastað daycare, and Nólsoy school—will receive expanded installations.

New solar arrays will be added to Látrið in Nólsoy, Margarinfabrikkin, Øksnagerði daycare, the Ternuryggi residential building, and the Kollafjørður school gymnasium.
