Drivers report renewed flooding and poor visibility in the Sandoy Tunnel, according to Faroese public broadcaster KVF.
The tunnel’s drainage issues resurfaced after a period of improvement following repairs last year. Multiple motorists described the passage as dark, wet, and dangerously foggy.
Marjun S. Debes, mayor of Skopun municipality, demanded that the tunnel operator find a permanent solution. Uni Danielsen, the tunnel manager, confirmed that inspections are underway.
