The South Ostrobothnia regional board will on Monday consider a Finance Ministry proposal to appoint Jyrki Myllyvirta as chair of the region’s evaluation group, reports Yle.
Myllyvirta, a former city manager of Lahti, recently completed a similar evaluation process in Lapland. The ministry proposes the regional board approve his appointment.
The evaluation procedure for South Ostrobothnia’s well-being services region was initiated this week, following a decision to place the area under state guidance. The evaluation group will include representatives from the well-being services region, the Finance Ministry, the Social Affairs and Health Ministry, and the Interior Ministry.
Following earlier practice, the regional board has proposed that Tero Järvinen, the well-being services region director, represent the region in the group.
