The Legend of the Seas, built at Meyer Turku shipyard, departed early Thursday from the Turku archipelago en route to the Mediterranean, according to Finnish broadcaster Yle.

The vessel is the third in Royal Caribbean’s Icon-class series constructed at the Turku yard, with a fourth currently under construction. At 365 metres long and 65 metres wide, it is marginally longer than its predecessors—confirmed by laser measurement—and can carry up to 7,600 passengers.

Mediterranean cruises aboard the ship begin in July. After the summer season, it will relocate to the Caribbean before returning to the Mediterranean in summer 2027.

Tracking data indicates the ship is scheduled to arrive in Cádiz, Spain, on 24 June.

The Icon-class fleet includes Icon of the Seas (delivered November 2023), Star of the Seas (July 2025), and Legend of the Seas. Three more vessels—Hero of the Seas (2027) and two unnamed ships (2028, 2030)—are planned.
