Herning police dismantle gang conflict checkpoints after crackdown
Midt- og Vestjyllands Police have removed two stop-and-search zones in Herning following a sustained operation against criminal groups, according to a report by Danish broadcaster DR.
Police inspector Hans Roost said investigations into the gangs had progressed significantly, with officers conducting 53 searches that yielded knives, a knuckleduster, a flare gun, pepper spray, and an aluminium bat.
“We’ve carried out a large number of searches and made several seizures. We’re very satisfied, and when we see things calming down, we scale back—and that’s what we’ve done,” Roost said.
