Court to deliver verdict in Turku Harittu homicide case

The Southwest Finland District Court will issue its verdict today in the March homicide case from Turku’s Harittu district, where a man in his 40s stands accused of murdering his ex-wife.

Prosecutors allege the killing took place at the woman’s home, where the man stabbed her in the neck with a knife. The defendant denies murder, admitting at most to manslaughter.

In addition to murder, the man is charged with sexual offences involving a victim under the age of 16.
