Man alleged to have misrepresented age while leading confirmation camp in Hamina, Finland
A man who served as a leader at a confirmation camp in Hamina has allegedly misrepresented his age, according to local police. The incident was reported by Ilta-Sanomat. Crime Commissioner Nina Hietanen informed IS that the fully grown man portrayed himself as being younger than his actual age while at the camp.
Typically, leaders at confirmation camps are around 16 or 17 years old, which makes them a few years younger than the confirmation students. Southeast Finland police suspect that the man acted as a camp leader during early summer and may have engaged in sexual misconduct with a minor.
