Kemijärvi city manager moves to Rovaniemi as head of vitality

Dina Solatie, the city manager of Kemijärvi, will take up the role of head of vitality in Rovaniemi, reports Yle.

Rovaniemi city council unanimously approved the appointment on Tuesday. Solatie has served as Kemijärvi city manager since 2024, with her responsibilities including promoting growth and vitality.

She brings extensive public administration experience from state and municipal sectors, having previously worked as development manager and director at the Itä-Lappi municipal federation. She has also held research positions at the University of Helsinki, the European Commission, and the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority. Solatie holds a doctorate in philosophy.

Kemijärvi will now begin the search for a new city manager.
