Finns Party MP Laura Huhtasaari will not seek re-election in the upcoming parliamentary elections, citing personal reasons, Satakunnan Kansa Länsi-Suomi reports.

Huhtasaari, a three-term representative from Merikarvia, told the newspaper that her personal life no longer allows her to continue as a member of parliament. She was the top vote-getter in Satakunta in the 2023 elections with over 8,000 votes, having also led the region in 2019 with nearly 13,000 votes.
