Police suspect 14-year-old in Frederiksberg apartment shooting

Copenhagen Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy suspected of firing shots at an apartment on Frederiksberg last week, the force announced via its Politi Update service.

The shooting occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, 3 June, shortly after midnight, when a living room window of an apartment on Finsensvej was struck by gunfire. Residents were inside at the time, but no injuries were reported.

The 14-year-old is below the age of criminal responsibility and cannot be prosecuted. He has been placed in the custody of social authorities, police said.

Two men, aged 20 and 26, both Danish citizens, have also been arrested. They are charged with possession and transfer of the firearm to the minor, as well as receiving it back after the shooting. Police have not disclosed the type of weapon involved.

The two men will appear in court later today for a preliminary hearing. Their responses to the charges are not yet known.
