The Faroese Red Cross is now reassessing its position after the latest mediation attempt between the organisation and KAF failed to produce a new agreement, according to the Faroese Broadcasting Corporation (KVF).

Mary Antonsdóttir, the chair of the Faroese Red Cross, said the gap between the parties’ positions remains too wide. She confirmed that while the organisation is reviewing its stance, a strike is still among the options being considered.

One possibility is returning to the negotiating table, but Antonsdóttir noted that this depends on the other party showing willingness to engage.
