Nine apply for school leadership post in Hoyvík

A primary school in Hoyvík has received nine applications for the position of principal, according to a report by Skúlablaðið.

The school at Løgmannabreyt, a two-stream institution with 366 students enrolled for the coming academic year, currently employs 33 full-time staff. It also hosts an after-school programme.

The new principal is set to begin on 1 September, replacing Høgni Joensen, who has led the school since its opening in 2008.
