Anna Falkenberg has been elected chair of the Faroese Committee in the Løgting, with Sjúrður Skaale as deputy chair, following committee selections this year, KVF reports.

Falkenberg also serves as deputy chair of the Arctic delegation. She sits on the foreign policy committee, the judicial committee, the Greenland committee, and the Nordic Council—the same roles she held in the previous term.

Skaale, in addition to his deputy chair role in the Faroese Committee, remains a substitute member of the foreign policy committee, a position he also held last term. He noted that while he is officially a substitute, he has an agreement with the Danish Social Democrats allowing him to attend meetings when relevant issues are discussed.

“For any committee, I always get to attend if the matter is of interest to me,” Skaale said. He is also a member of the Arctic delegation.
