The Faroese Agricultural Agency will accept wool from 9 July to 22 August, the agency announced on Wednesday.

Wool must be dry, clean, and free of debris, packed in clean bags. It will be graded and sorted into two quality classes: Class I and Class II. Coarse wool, neck wool, and similar types, as well as wool with significant dirt or contamination, will be classified as Class II.

Producers will receive 10 krona per kilogram for Class I wool and 0.50 krona per kilogram for Class II wool, both excluding VAT. For non-VAT-registered sellers, the price will be 8.20 krona per kilogram.

The agency noted that due to demand from foreign buyers, no wool will be accepted after 22 August.
