The Faroese island of Nólsoy has almost no available housing, with local officials admitting they lack concrete plans to address the crisis, public broadcaster KVF reports.

Leif Hansen, a member of the Nólsoy municipal council, confirmed the shortage after a public meeting on Monday, stating that the island’s population—now at 220—must not decline further. “The housing options are far too few,” Hansen said, though he acknowledged the council has yet to finalise measures to expand supply.

The meeting covered multiple issues, but housing dominated discussions as residents pressed for action.
