Two former presidents of the outlawed Satudarah motorcycle club are among ten men indicted for allegedly continuing the banned organization under the name Comanches MC, prosecutors revealed in an Oslo court hearing Tuesday.
The indictment, filed by state prosecutor Ingelin Hauge, marks the first test of Norway’s legal ban on criminal motorcycle clubs, imposed after the Supreme Court dissolved Satudarah in 2024 for repeated serious offenses. The charges now cover activity from October 2024 through May 16, 2026, following a police raid at Frognerstranda Kro in Oslo that resulted in 27 arrests.
Four of the seven defendants scheduled to appear in court Tuesday attended the hearing, while the remaining cases will proceed in autumn. Defense attorney Jonas Billington Saeme told the court one absent defendant had intended to appear but failed to make contact. All four present denied the charges.
Prosecutors allege the group operated as Comanches MC, a direct continuation of Satudarah, citing a 2025 investigation into a Nittedal social club where police observed suspicious activity and later obtained a group photo linked to the location. Evidence includes claims that members posed with weapons and symbols on social media, despite only nine of 28 holding motorcycle licenses.
The May 16 operation targeted a Comanches MC gathering attended by individuals from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Police seized club paraphernalia and noted one president was on prison leave during the event. Defense attorneys Kristina Davidsen and Jon Anders Hasle unsuccessfully challenged the inclusion of the raid in the current trial, as the broader investigation remains ongoing across multiple police districts.
