Man pays for stranger’s groceries after her phone payment fails

A Danish man covered a stranger’s grocery bill after her mobile payment failed at a store in Copenhagen, national broadcaster DR reports.

Michael Willadsen stepped in when Sif Kølle’s phone malfunctioned at checkout, leaving her unable to pay. He paid the 200 kroner (about €27) for her items, asking only that she later do the same for someone else.

Kølle described the gesture as “really nice” and said she planned to follow his request.
