Ambulance and car collide near Oulu hospital, four injured

An ambulance responding to an emergency call collided with a passenger car at the intersection of Kainuuntie and Professorinväylä in Oulu on Saturday afternoon, leaving four people injured, one seriously, according to Oulu’s duty fire chief Mikko Heikkilä.

The crash involved a single-occupant car and an ambulance carrying three people, including a patient. Local newspaper Kaleva reported the impact was severe enough to overturn the ambulance onto its side.
