Bear spotted near Ruovesi town centre, police urge public to avoid area

A bear has been seen moving near the centre of Ruovesi in the Pirkanmaa region, the Central Finland Police Department reported late Thursday.

The animal was last observed in the area between Ritoniemi and Harakkala. Authorities have initiated efforts to drive the bear away and are advising residents to avoid the vicinity until further notice.
