A man in his early 20s will appear in Salten and Lofoten District Court on Monday, June 8, charged with two counts of aggravated rape and reckless conduct toward a third woman, Dagbladet reports.

The accused allegedly contacted all three victims through fake social media profiles, establishing relationships with two of them under false identities. He then directed the women to himself, using severe threats—including death threats against them, their families, and the fictitious persona—to coerce them into sexual acts.

Prosecutors state that two of the victims were also forced to perform sexual acts on themselves while being filmed. The man’s defense attorney, Finn Ove Smith, confirmed to Dagbladet that his client has admitted guilt to the charges.

In the third case, the man is charged under Section 266 of the Penal Code for reckless conduct. The victim, like the others, was allegedly contacted via a fake profile and later threatened with abduction, with claims that there was a “price on her head.”

Ingrid Holm, legal counsel for the victims, told Dagbladet that all three women are apprehensive about facing the accused in court.

Additionally, the man is charged with possession of child abuse material and violating a restraining order against one of the victims. He is also accused of extorting a five-figure sum from one of the women.
