Faroese construction firm submits lowest bid for university’s main campus building

The lowest bid to construct a new main building for the University of the Faroe Islands’ campus project is 349 million Danish kroner, submitted by J&K Petersen, Faroese public broadcaster KVF reports.
The bid undercuts the estimated cost of 355 million kroner, set by architects Henning Larsen North Atlantic and Ósbjørn Jacobsen, by roughly 6 million kroner. Four bids were received in total, with Kanjon at 377 million kroner, Búsetur at 373 million kroner, and Articon submitting the highest offer at 384 million kroner.
The new building is part of the university’s larger campus development plan in Tórshavn.
