Finland’s safety investigation agency declines probe into Helsinki apartment fire
Finland’s Safety Investigation Authority (OTKES) will not launch an investigation into last week’s major fire at a residential building in Helsinki’s Kalasatama district, the agency announced Wednesday.
The blaze, which started on a balcony and spread to the roof, caused extensive damage to the property but resulted in no injuries. Authorities had previously indicated a safety probe was under consideration.
OTKES did not provide further details on its decision.
