Icelandic president to visit Faroe Islands later this month

The president of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, and her spouse Björn Skúlason will make an official visit to the Faroe Islands from 22 to 24 June, the Prime Minister’s Office announced on Tuesday.
During the three-day visit, Tómasdóttir and Skúlason will meet with the Faroese government, parliament, municipal representatives, cultural figures, and local entrepreneurs. Prime Minister Bárður á Steig Nielsen will host the delegation.
Tómasdóttir, elected in 2024, took office on 1 August that year. She has a background in labour and leadership, with experience both in Iceland and abroad.
