New industrial and harbour facility planned for Ánir on Norðoyar

A new industrial and harbour facility for trades, workshops, storage, and marine-related services will be built north of Norðhavnin harbour in Ánir, Klaksvík Municipality announced Monday.

The municipal council approved the project on 26 February, with plans now open for public review until 26 June, according to a report by Faroese public broadcaster KVF. Proposals for amendments or objections must be submitted by 17 July.

The facility will serve commercial operations, skilled trades, light industry, storage, service businesses linked to maritime activity, and recreational boating.
