A series of recent court rulings reveal that corrupt employees of Danish shipping giant Maersk have assisted drug cartels in smuggling large quantities of narcotics through European ports, Danish broadcaster DR reports.

The findings come as journalist Magnus Boding of Jyllands-Posten, in collaboration with TV 2, releases a new documentary exposing the infiltration of Maersk’s operations. The investigation details how insiders exploited their positions to facilitate the trafficking of illegal drugs into Europe.
