Swedish union IF Metall partially suspends Tesla strike
The Swedish industrial union IF Metall has called off parts of its two-year strike against Tesla, according to a report by Dagens Industri cited by public broadcaster SVT.
Workers at Tesla facilities in Malmö and Uppsala are expected to return to their posts, though the union has not officially confirmed the move. In an email to Dagens Industri, IF Metall stated that “the conflict is not over.”
The strike, which began in late 2024, centered on collective bargaining demands rejected by Tesla, which has refused to sign agreements with Swedish unions.
