Danish crown greets crowds on King Frederik’s 58th birthday

King Frederik X of Denmark marked his 58th birthday on Tuesday with a traditional balcony appearance at Amalienborg Palace, where crowds gathered to cheer and wave flags, state broadcaster DR reported.

The monarch was joined by his family at Frederik VIII’s Palace at noon, continuing the annual custom. Former Queen Margrethe, however, was absent this year due to hospitalization at Rigshospitalet, where she is being treated for a significant blood collection in her hip region.
