Multiple collisions cause major traffic delays on E18 and E6
Two separate crashes involving three vehicles each have blocked lanes on the E18 highway near Tønsberg and Drammen, Dagbladet reports. Police in the Southeast district confirm no serious injuries but warn of extensive delays due to emergency response traffic and holiday return congestion.
“There were relatively low speeds for the E18, but with multiple people and three cars involved in each incident,” operations manager Ståle Olstad Fuglaas told the newspaper. Crews are working to reopen all lanes as quickly as possible.
A third collision between a car and a motorcycle on the E6 near Halden has also closed part of the highway toward Sweden. Police in the East district report unknown injury severity but describe the crash as non-serious. As of 13:51, one lane has reopened, though the traffic management centre warns of ongoing delays.
