A major new study will survey more than 3,000 Faroese residents in Denmark to examine their housing choices, employment, community ties, and well-being, Faroese public broadcaster KVF reports.
Tróndur Møller Sandoy, one of the researchers leading the project, said little is currently known about the factors influencing where Faroese people choose to live and settle in Denmark. The survey—the largest of its kind targeting Faroese residents there—aims to provide fresh insights into housing preferences, job opportunities, social connections, and overall satisfaction among the Faroese diaspora.
Researchers hope the findings will clarify what influences Faroese residents’ decisions on where to live in Denmark.
