Mowi’s Faroese operations recorded a net profit of 120 million Danish kroner after tax in 2025, the company’s strongest financial result to date, Faroese broadcaster KVF reported Saturday.
The Faroese branch of the Norwegian-owned salmon farming giant produced 15,000 tonnes of fish last year—its highest-ever volume—while paying 31 million kroner in fishing fees and 43 million kroner in corporate taxes.
Hans Jákup Mikkelsen, managing director of Mowi Faroe Islands, said the company now operates three salmon farms, down from four, to ensure greater stability in production.
