A large fire at a business on Ellehammersvej in Vejle is producing hazardous smoke, prompting authorities to order residents in affected areas to stay indoors, Sydøstjyllands Police announced in an emergency alert Friday.
The warning covers all areas east of Finlandsvej up to the motorway, as well as the zone south of the burning facility—defined as the area south of Horsensvej to Nørremarksvej. Police urged residents to avoid the area entirely and to share the alert with others nearby.
Residents were directed to close windows and doors and to monitor updates from DR and TV2. Emergency services requested that 911 and police lines remain open only for critical calls.
Further bulletins will be issued via Danmarks Radio, TV2, teletext services, and politi.dk as the situation develops.
