The Faroe Islands Conciliation Board has scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, May 27, for the Health Assistants’ Association (Heilsuhjálparafelag Føroya) and the Municipal Employers’ Association (KAF), with negotiations set to continue until a deal is reached or talks break down, mediator Terji Sigurðsson told KVF. A meeting was already held on Thursday, May 21, but the parties will now sit until the matter is resolved.
The collective agreement between the Health Assistants’ Association and KAF expired on October 1 last year. Talks began in November but have been slow for various reasons, and the parties have struggled to find common ground.
Nurses’ talks scheduled for June
