Hotels in Faroe Islands fully booked for coming weeks

Hotels in the Gist og Vist group are fully booked for the coming weeks due to several large events coinciding, sales manager Jóhanna Rasmussen told KVF.

The group operates Hotel Føroyar and Hotel Tórshavn in Tórshavn and will run the new KG hotel in Klaksvík, which is set to open in June. The property is owned by the Christian í Grótinum group.

Rasmussen said she does not have exact average occupancy figures for the summer months but estimated it to be between 80 and 90 percent of capacity. Occupancy is low for the rest of the year, she added.
