Former Yle CEO Merja Ylä-Anttila named senior advisor at Miltton

Former Yle chief executive Merja Ylä-Anttila has been appointed senior advisor at the consulting firm Miltton, the company announced. The appointment was reported by Yle on Thursday.
Ylä-Anttila brings extensive experience in strategic management, media and communications, according to a statement from Miltton. She served as Yle’s CEO from 2018 to 2025 and previously held the role of editor-in-chief at commercial broadcaster MTV from 2001 to 2018.
“Merja Ylä-Anttila’s experience in media, leadership and societal influence is exceptionally valuable in a time when trust, information flow and changes in the operating environment are increasingly intertwined,” said Varpu Varpela, managing director of Miltton’s Finnish operations. “Her ability to combine strategic thinking, hands-on execution and people-oriented leadership significantly strengthens Miltton’s capacity to support its clients.”
