US envoy to Greenland instructed to build alliances during visit

US President Donald Trump has directed his special envoy to Greenland, Jeff Landry, to “make as many friends as possible” during his current visit, Danish broadcaster DR reports.

Landry arrived in Nuuk on Sunday evening local time, following a late conversation with Trump. The instruction comes amid what DR describes as a “major political drama” involving the US, Denmark, and Greenland.
