The Icelandic Seafarers’ Union has again issued a strike threat against shipping companies Eimskip and Faroe Ship, Faroese public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.

If no agreement is reached on a new collective bargaining deal by Monday, 25 May, vessels Brúarfoss, Dettifoss, and Selfoss—all operating Faroese routes—will face strike action. The union’s notice does not specify how long the strike may last.

The same union had previously announced a strike from 12 to 15 April, which was later called off.
