AI tool records emergency doctors’ patient conversations and drafts medical notes
A new artificial intelligence tool is being tested by emergency doctors at Odense University Hospital, recording consultations and automatically generating draft notes for patient records, DRAI reports.
The system aims to reduce administrative workload, allowing physicians to focus more on patient care. Researchers specialising in AI for healthcare suggest the technology could save time and increase capacity in the health system.
Early trials indicate the tool captures full conversations between doctors and patients, then produces structured summaries for medical files. If successful, the approach could be expanded to other departments.
